tea sets
My teapots have been a progression with the forms and decorations developing and changing continually.
porcelain
I strive to achieve extremely thin sides with windows even thinner to express the light shining through architectural elevational walls.
stoneware
I sometimes use stoneware to build larger pots, since it does not warp and shrink as badly as porcelain. These are about 800mm high.
drawings
I no longer practise but will never be able to deny my love of drawing with pen on paper. I often go “back to the drawing board” just for the joy of it. This graphic depicts a fantasy building where I project the architectural design of my teapot with plans, sections and elevations into a city grid. The building is elevated on large columns to access the offices and to create a landscaped area at street level.
I draw the Classical and Gothic buildings just for fun!
